Dear Parents:
I am sorry this Email is less than personal because it is going to all parents of our newly arrived missionaries but it is a fast way to let you know that your missionary arrived in Sendai last evening very tired but excited to finally be on Japanese soil. They arrived after 9PM which was a late hour so we got them to bed as quickly as we could. Today we spent the day at the church doing some training and about noon the new missionaries met their trainer for the first time. I wish you could have seen and felt the excitement in the room as the two of them were introduced to each other and told where they would be serving. There were lots of smiles and hugs shared.
I am sending you two pictures:
1. At the airport shortly after arriving
2. After the training today before the new companionships left for their first area.
You can see from the pictures, we had a very large group this transfer~the largest ever! We have fallen in love with each one already. Thank you for the sacrifice you are making to allow the Sendai Mission to be blessed to have your missionary serve at this time.
